En su práctica profesional ha trabajado con organizaciones públicas y privadas en México, América Latina y el Medio Oriente, así como en el Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo y la Organización Mundial de la Salud. Trabajó en el Plan Nacional de Desarrollo de México y es un experto en las finanzas públicas a escala regional. Colabora regularmente como columnista en medios mexicanos como Arena Pública.
